Let there be light in your life, may no rejection ever steal your power. (image credit: Siemens)

Rejection hurts and it happens when you are in the me space. Off late from my own personal life experience I’ve learnt that the best way to live life is that of a purpose that is much greater than you. When you are in that space, there is no rejection that you can’t overcome.

A second tool is words used, words have power. Use the right words and it cures just everything. Tough part is getting yourself to that state of life where you can yield it no matter what.

A third tool is to drop expectations. Expectations hurt the most. The happiest is the one who has zero expectations. This requires you to be in a high state of life.

I came across this article today on Rejection by Tim Denning. As I read through, it resonated with exactly what I learnt.

My birthday has been that day I look forward to the most ever since I was a kid. As I grew it went from being all about gifts and parties to the day to be remembered and cherished, at least by the people that matter to you the most. The people who remember me warms my heart and I am glad to know we still have a relationship. For the ones who don’t wish me, it’s like being rejected by them. However, this year instead of pouting or feeling rejected, I decided to employ the tools of — powerful words and mindset, dropping expectations, and making it bigger than me. Instead making it about me, I made it about them and their well being. I reached out asking if they were well, and a few indeed turned out to be having a tough time at that point! For the ones who were doing well, I sent them love. Doing so I found much more peace and joy.

I am really grateful to be on a spiritual journey to work on myself. Had I not I would have been so angry, bitter, disappointed and devaluing myself. Wishing everyone the happiness and peace that they truly deserve! :)
